Maja Miloradovic van Doorn joined the firm Zwicker Schnappauf & Partner Patentanwälte PartG mbB in 2018 and is currently training to become a European Patent Attorney.
She is mainly involved in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications as well as in opposition proceedings before the European Patent Office.
Maja studied biology at the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade with emphasis on microbiology, biochemistry and molecular plant physiology, and graduated with a diploma thesis on the effects of mycorrhization on transcriptome and volatilome of the host plant Nicotiana attenuate in the group of Prof. Baldwin at the Max-Planck-Institute for Chemical Ecology in Jena. Her subsequent doctoral research was carried out at the Helmholtz Centre Munich, in the Research Unit for Environmental Simulation of Prof. Schnitzler, where she explored roles of volatile isoprenoids in the regulation of root developmental programs and plant-microbes interactions. Afterwards, she took part in the LL.M. Program “International Studies in Intellectual Property Law” of TU Dresden.
