Dr. Robert Fischbach has been working in the field of intellectual property for fifteen years and joined the law firm “Zwicker Schnappauf und Partner PartG mbB” in 2020. Robert started his carrier in a Munich IP firm and continued to work for this firm as an associate.
Robert is admitted before the European Patent Office.
His main area of practice is in the prosecution of European and international patent applications, and in opposition and appeal procedures before the European Patent Office. Robert is also experienced in drafting of European and international patent applications. He is also familiar with analyses of IP right situation with regard to Freedom-To-Operate and he assisted in infringement and nullity proceedings of German and European patents.
Robert studied biology at the Technical University of Munich. He completed his PhD investigating molecular, biochemical and physiological aspects of monoterpene synthesis in plants at the Fraunhofer Institute for Environmental Research. During his postdoctoral positions he continued his research in the field of isoprenoid biosynthesis. Further aspects of his work included the production of transgenic plants and gene expression analysis in plant and microbial systems.
